9 Easy Steps To Detox Your Body For Fall Season

- Start your day with lemon water mixed with a spoonful of honey and some cinnamon. Drink it before having your breakfast as it will help stimulate all of your digestive system and purify your liver of toxins. The combination will also help regulate your blood sugar which is essential if you want to stop these sugar cravings. Honey also plays an important role in relaxing your body and neutralizing the accumulated toxins.

Take things slow. With the start of fall, return to your normal sleeping schedule. Say no to the outside influences that pull your energy and attention everywhere and start focusing on yourself and your body. If you are tired, sleep. Tune in to your body’s natural rhythm.

- Stop eating fast food and take the time to prepare your meals ahead of time. Doing that will help you stick to your healthy choices and avoid temptations while you cleanse your body from the residual toxins.

- Nourish your body with whole foods. That means you should stop the consumption of processed, frozen and over salted foods. Increase your daily intake of fruits and vegetables by incorporating them into your meal plans.

- Practice mindfulness in your everyday activities. Think about the food you are eating, how it is nourishing your body. Listen to your intuition and take some time to meditate every day. A full detox should help you clarify your ideas and open your mind to new paths and opportunities.

- Practice yoga poses that promote cleansing by helping the body’s circulation and lympathic system. Some poses you can try are: the cat to cow pose, the sphinx pose, the supine twist, the bridge pose, the shoulder stand, and the full boat pose.

- Stop eating sugar, sweets and sodas. This should help you control your sugar cravings and regulate your food intake.

- Stop drinking alcohol to rest your liver and pancreas.

- Increase your consumption of beets, pomegranates, ginger, apple, kale, and Brussels sprouts. These are all seasonal vegetables with anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
